Chinese Airmails and Their Forgeries
by David Y. Lu

Published 2004 by the author, Rowland Heights, California. 48 pages, hard cover, attractive dust jacket, full color. ISBN 962-450-041-X/D.47754.
Available from David Y. Lu, P.O. Box 0362, Qingdao Shandong, 266011, P.R.China, or P.O. Box 8457, Rowland Heights, CA 91748 USA, for US$25 which includes airmail postage. Payment in US banknotes or personal check drawn on a US bank.

This is a marvelous book that is divided into two books, one in Chinese and one in English. There is first a “Brief Introduction to Early Chinese Airmails,” then 19 pages of “The Forgeries of Chinese Airmails,” with numerous high quality color illustrations on coated paper. This is all in Chinese. Then, there is a complete duplicate, including the illustrations, in English. The book ends with four pages, in English, of forerunners from David’s Gold Medal collection.

This is a very small price to pay for such a quality handbook, even if the number of pages is small. Anyone at all interested in Chinese airmails should have this book.
