The American Air Mail Society (AAMS), founded in 1923, is a volunteer-driven, organization for collectors passionate about the study, preservation and communication of information regarding aerophilately —stamps, covers, and postal history. The AAMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
Auctions
The American Air Mail Society offers two auction formats for members throughout the year, providing regular opportunities to buy and sell aerophilatelic material within the Society.
Mail-In Auctions
Held four times annually, the Society’s long-running mail-in auctions allow members to offer and acquire a wide variety of airmail, postal history, and related material from fellow collectors. Visit the Mail-In Auction page.
Live Zoom Auctions
AAMS also conducts a live auction every other month during the Society’s Zoom meeting. Typically featuring about forty lots, these auctions showcase a broad range of collecting interests and offer an engaging, real-time auction experience for members. Visit the Live Auction page.

Boston 2026
The Boston 2026 World Stamp Expo will be a landmark event for global philatelists and postal historians as well as something special for aerophilatelists. As the 12th U.S. International Philatelic Exhibition, the show coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States and brings together collectors, dealers, exhibitors, and postal administrations from across the globe.
Highlights include a vast international bourse, approximately 3,500 frames of competitive and special exhibits, society meetings, educational programs, and a prestigious Champion of Champions competition. U.S. commemorative stamps honoring Boston’s Revolutionary heritage will debut during the show.

The Airpost Journal
The Airpost Journal (APJ) is the award-winning publication of the American Air Mail Society. Published six times a year, it features in-depth articles spanning a wide range of airmail collecting and aerophilatelic postal history topics.
AAMS membership includes the option to receive printed copies of The Airpost Journal.
