Welcome to the Zeppelin and Airship Catalog, sponsored by the American Air Mail Society and launched in September 2026. The catalog, which is free to the public, includes high resolution cover images, comprehensive search features, historical information for most key flights, and more. It features six categories: Pioneer Zeppelins, World War I Zeppelins and Airships, Reparation Zeppelins, LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin, LZ 129 Hindenburg, and LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin. The catalog is designed with an easy to use navigation capability along with advanced search features to help the user find the exact information they are looking for or to enable a broad search of a particular piece of information. There is an online user guide, called Getting Started with the Catalog.
The initial entries are just the beginning of a multi-year project, so users should check back often for catalog updates. Jim Hill is leading the expert zeppelin team, which includes Cheryl Ganz, Sam Melamed, and Fred Reynolds. Charlie Giorgetti at AAMS is the lead on web structure and design.
