The depicted example features the rubber-stamped version of the circular flight cachet. The Austrian card shown in the transmitted mail listing contains the steel-stamped variety of the flight cachet, which can be distinguished by its sharper features.
During the flight, most mail was dropped by parachute at Er Ramle, Palestine, with additional mail drops at Tel Aviv, Rome, Athens, Split, Vienna, and Munich. Examples of the latter drops are relatively rare.
This example shows the Type A Er Ramle receiver, which features a Maltese cross at the bottom of the circular date stamp
