Notes
Mechanic Karl Beuerle sent this card on the first test flight that carried mail. The German post office had issued two zeppelin Hindenburg postage stamps prior to the flight. The onboard postmark does not have the name of the zeppelin, only the LZ 129 builder identification. Ernst Lehmann commanded the 5 hours, 49 minutes roundtrip with 51 crew members and 102 passengers. 226 kg of mail was aboard plus postings by those on the flight.
