Registered British P.O. Tangier (Morocco) to Gibraltar, where the mail was redirected to sea post after news of the Hindenburg disaster. Gibraltar post office created an auxiliary marking explaining "no service." Mail intended for the Second North America Flight of 1937 was posted from several countries before the disaster in order to reach Frankfurt in time for the next transatlantic flight.
