Originally posted from Asch, a town on the Czech-German border that was populated mostly by German-speaking Czechs. Asch was the first Sudeten territory occupied by German troops after the signing of the Munich agreement on September 3oth. The October 3rd cancellation date coincided with a visit that day by the German Reich Chancellor.
