The American Airmail Society and a team of zeppelin post experts debuted a new, free, illustrated, online Zeppelin and Airship Catalog during Boston 2026 World Expo. The new catalog launches on September 1, 2026, and will be available here, on the AAMS site and will also be directly accessible at www.zeppelincatalog.org. This image is the catalog landing or starting page.
Featured are six categories: Pioneer Zeppelins, WWI Zeppelins & Airships, Reparation Zeppelins, LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin, LZ 129 Hindenburg, and LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin.
Here is an example of a LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin catalog page from a 1933 South American flight. Note, in addition to the flight information there is unique research highlighting some of the details not found in existing catalogs. Click on the image to enlarge.
The debut at the convention center demonstrated the catalog’s organization, high resolution imaging, comprehensive search features and incorporation of key historical information. Jim Hill is leading the expert zeppelin team, which includes Cheryl Ganz, Sam Melamed and Fred Reynolds. Charlie Giorgetti of AAMS is the lead on catalog design.
The catalog’s objective is to provide an easy-to-use, accessible catalog that allows users to expand their knowledge in this popular collecting area.
